MCM Recognized at 40th Annual Latin Builders Association Awards

On Friday, October 1st, MCM was recognized by the Latin Builders Association with the award for Top Small Business Compliance Contractor of the Year.

The MCC is a program created specifically for quick turn-around projects. It is designed to allow CSBE firms to perform work at Miami-Dade County’s five airports. By way of a contractor mentorship program, CSBE’s can receive training in any area of construction management. As of March of 2021, 67% of all the construction work within this program has been performed by small businesses – totaling over $52M. These small businesses enjoy a multitude of benefits that the MIA MCC Program offers.

MCM is honored to manage the Small Business Compliance Program that promotes the development of many local, emerging, small businesses. "There is nothing better than to support and mentor a small business and then witness them grow into successful operation," President Daniel Munilla said in an announcement.

Congratulations to the MCC Team on a job well done.

MCM welcomed intern Gisselle Oval last summer. She is a local college student, who was selected by the Summer Youth Internship Initiative and was awarded a summer internship by our firm. Ms. Oval was assigned to the Estimating department where she performs a multitude of tasks to expose her to different areas in construction management.

Different members of our team have mentored Gisselle in their functional areas.  Gisselle’s interest continually grew, and her performance excelled. MCM was happy to extend her engagement beyond her internship period.

MCM proudly supports the Summer Youth Internship Initiative (SYII)- an opportunity for deserving young men and women to be mentored and acquire important business skills in a real-world environment.
