The Runway 13L/31R Safety Area Enhancement Project is located at Dallas Love Field Airport and is funded through the City of Dallas and the FAA.  This project is to enhance Runway 13L/31R and lead-in Taxiways to the runway.  This project involves the replacement and reconstruction of the existing aircraft runway and taxiways.  This work includes 55,000 SY of proposed concrete pavement ranging from 18 to 21 inches in depth, demolition of existing runway and taxiway concrete, excavation and embankment, relocation of touchdown zone lights, threshold lights, 13L MALSR system, electrical utilities, runway & taxiway striping, underground drainage systems, and asphalt placement to name a few.  The work is completed in multiple phases while maintaining active airfield operations around the project.
