As part of the Department of Military Affairs Military Construction (MILCON) program, this project consisted of building a new 102,000 SF Readiness Center Facility to support the training and readiness of the local Army National Guard units serving the region. This work included all materials, labor, equipment and services, including all civil, landscaping,structural, architectural, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and other miscellaneous work necessary to fully construct the Readiness Center Facility. The Readiness Center is located on a 30 acre site within the city of Miramar in Southwest Broward County, and is composed of the 102,000 SF Readiness Center Building, a 456 Privately Owned Vehicles (POV) parking area, a 125,000 SF Military Owned Vehicles (MOV) parking area, storm water retention areas, and other site improvements. The project has been registered with the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System Program and was built to achieve a LEED Silver rating.
