Nov 4th, 2016 - MCM was awarded the $38 million Design-Build Project to Renovate and Expand Terminal F at the Port of Miami. Our Design Team is headed by Beremblum, Bush & Associates, an architectural firm specialized in Port Terminal Design. MCM was selected as the most qualified Firm before the summer, but the award was finalized only a few weeks ago.

The project will consist of three phases. Phase 1 involves the reconfiguration and renovationof the existing three-story passenger terminal. This includes demolition to reconfigure a more flexible, efficient baggage laydown area and a secured embark bagdrop/X-ray and baggage hold area. The existing second level of Terminal F will become a large waiting area with direct access to the level three, sterile passenger concourse and passenger boarding bridge. And finally, upgrade of the fire protection/alarm systems to bring them up to code, and renovating the restrooms.

Phase 2 is the construction of a new three-story addition immediately east of Cruise Termina F that will accommodate passenger embarkation functions such as support offices, waiting areas and restrooms.

Phase 3 will consist of the construction of a third-level sterile concourse corridor connecting the existing terminal with the new addition.

The expansion will allow the terminal to handle larger ships and is expected to generate $3.5 million more in revenue.

Congratulations to Gredel del Toro, the Marketing and Estimating Teams for all of your hard work and a well deserved win!
