MCM and Miami-Dade College Homestead Campus Partner on a New Internship Program
As part of MCM’s ongoing community outreach program in conjunction with the Homestead City Hall Project, we recently collaborated with Sarah Tuskey, chairperson of the School of Business at Miami-Dade College Homestead Campus, to initiate a new internship program for the baccalaureate students at the college.
The college selected five students who were each interviewed by a panel of representatives, including the City of Homestead’s (COH) Mayor’s Office, the COH Manager’s Office, Miami-Dade College and MCM. The panel unanimously selected Glenda Secola, an upcoming graduate of the Bachelor in Applied Science in Supervision and Management program, for the internship.
Glenda started her career with the military at age 17. After 10 years of successful professional development in many key positions at the Turkey Point Nuclear Plant, she chose to change careers. She decided that going back to school for her degree would be the smartest way to reach her new career goals.
Glenda’s scholastic achievement was recently recognized at the City of Homestead council meeting.
MCM is truly excited to have Glenda join our Homestead City Hall project team, and we look forward to a long relationship with her!
