Breaking Ground on the Homestead Police Station
The heavy rain in South Florida is notorious, and after two previous attempts were cancelled due to inclement weather, we finally broke ground on the new Police Station in Homestead!
The special ceremony took place on Wednesday, October 7. Attendees included the Homestead Mayor and City Council members, City Manager George Gretsas, Homestead Police Chief Al Rolle and Homestead Police Department Officers, our own Raul Munilla and Alexis Leal, well as other MCM team members and City of Homestead staff.
The new Homestead facility will be a 55,000 square-foot, three-story police headquarters with a one-story ancillary building and on-site parking. The location is just a block away from the old building, behind Losner Park in the Homestead’s historic downtown.
The groundbreaking marked a significant milestone toward Homestead’s commitment to revitalizing the city’s downtown area.
Moreover, the project is a shining example of how MCM is committed to working with the City of Homestead and the Police Department to keep our officers and community safe!
